The city is running out of power, and the last plan on the table is a prototype fusion reactor wired straight into the grid. You and your partner are the ones standing between rolling blackouts and something far worse.

THE REACTOR is an incremental / idle management game about greed, fear, and megawatts. Each second, your experimental core spits out energy. You invest that output into stronger coils, better cooling, smarter control software, and backup systems that might save you when the numbers start to climb a little too fast.

Push the output higher and the skyline glows. Hospitals ditch their diesel backups, trains run on time, and the city council showers you with funding and praise. But heat builds. Stability slips. Warning lights pile up on your console while news feeds scream for “just a bit more power” during storms and heat waves.

You can always ease off the throttle, stay safe, and accept slower progress… or you can keep raising the ceiling and trust that your safety margins are as solid as you told everyone they were.

Each failure becomes part of the story. When things finally go wrong, you’ll carry lessons and permanent upgrades into the next attempt. Run after run, you’ll keep asking the same question:

How far can you push the reactor before the city that begged you to save it decides you’re the one who doomed it?

What a game! Really cool, and in depth too. For a 2 day game, fantastic job.
